I Heart Great Food
Panera Bread customers stir up memories at their local bakery-cafes.
At Panera Bread, great food is about more than just combining ingredients and setting a timer. It’s about sharing special moments with family and friends or just cozying up to a meal made for one. Recently we asked Panera Bread Facebook fans to share what they love most about their favorite menu items. Here’s what you told us.
Whether they’re enjoying the season’s flavors or nursing the blues of a bad day, Panera customers turn to tried-and-true dishes for a little relaxation.
“No matter how bad the day is, your Pecan Braids make everything disappear.”
“My favorite is the Broccoli Cheddar Soup, and I love it because I can eat it. As a 32-year childhood cancer survivor with severe eating problems, I have a harder and harder time finding things I can eat without too much difficulty.”
“Knowing that I’m beginning my day with Panera’s Breakfast Power Sandwich always gets me off to a good start.”
“For me, the Cream of Chicken & Wild Rice Soup is the taste of Minnesota. I love coming back here and having my favorite soup at Panera.”
Sharing a Moment
Catching up with friends or reconnecting with a loved one is always enhanced with delicious food, which is why our fans choose Panera as their go-to meeting spot.
“Whenever it’s a cold night and my roommates and I go to Panera, I get half a Tuna Salad Sandwich and a cup of Broccoli Cheddar Soup. It’s so homey and really comforting after a rough day of classes.”
“I am part of a knitting group that meets in our local Panera Bread every Monday night. It is relaxing and fun to sit around a table and work on our projects while chatting about our week. My meal of choice: Big Kid Grilled Cheese and Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad.”
“I love the Broccoli Cheddar Soup; your turkey sandwich with cheese, mayo, tomatoes, and lettuce [a make-your-own-way option]; and lemonade. Panera’s a great quiet place to have lunch while reading your newspaper, working on your laptop, or hanging out with your friends.”
“My husband and I visited Panera Bread for the first time three months ago. We both enjoy a You Pick Two every time we go and love changing it up each visit. It’s nice to have quality food for a change, and date night is back.”
A Family Affair
Many of the responses we received show that our guests like to make Panera a family tradition by sharing favorite foods and time together with their loved ones of all ages.
“I have a 30-year-old special-needs son. We have a ‘date day’ every Friday, and he always picks Panera. I pick the Fuji Apple Chicken Salad.”
“I am in love with your Broccoli Cheddar Soup. My baby in my belly really loves it too. He has been requesting it so often that I might need to put aside an allowance so I can get my daily fix!”
“Panera Bread is my go-to three-generation eating place. My 3-year-old granddaughter loves your Kids Mac & Cheese, my 21-year-old grandson likes your panini sandwiches and smoothies, and my 88-year-old honey really digs your soup-and-salad combinations. We are happy eating at your place—and no dishes for Grandma to wash!”
“My daughter and I love to cozy up to your Broccoli Cheddar Soup. It’s taken us through good times and tough times too.”
“I’m all about your Fuji Apple Chicken Salad. My 3- and 8-year-olds love dipping their bread in the dressing. They ask to eat at Panera every day!”
“My favorite menu items are all of the kids’ meals. We live just over an hour from our nearest Panera, but every time we head south, we stop in to Panera. It’s so nice to be able to treat my kids to a nice meal even when traveling!”
A Friendly Reminder
A crisp day, homey vacation spots, Mom’s homemade cooking—these are just a few of the things that come to Panera patrons’ minds while they indulge in their preferred meals.
“My favorite menu item is the Fuji Apple Chicken Salad—it reminds me of fall with the crisp Fuji apple flavor.”
“Your Broccoli Cheddar Soup, a sandwich, and a baguette make me think of the nice times with my little brother when he worked at Panera, before I moved out and life moved me from Maryland to Tennessee to start my own family.”
“The Low-Fat All-Natural Chicken Noodle Soup is just like the one my mother used to make for me when I was sick.”
“Panera reminds me of my college days. It was a place to go meet friends and study buddies while having soup and half a sandwich. I always felt I could stay as long as I wanted. One of my personal favorites is the Broccoli Cheddar Soup.”
