Inspired by Your Favorite Salad
We asked the many fans of our Strawberry Poppyseed & Chicken Salad to share their at-home salad creations inspired by the original.
“I love the natural sweetness of fresh fruit paired with the citrus-flavored chicken in this salad, so I was inspired to use those ingredients to create something new for the dinner table. I grilled marinated chicken cutlets and topped them with a fresh-fruit salsa made with diced pineapple, mango, strawberries, and blueberries. I squeezed a bit of fresh lime over the fruit and garnished each plate with chopped pecans.” —Jeannette B.
“Since this salad is only offered seasonally, I get my fix year-round with fruit kebabs made with similar ingredients and drizzled with poppyseed dressing.” —Kim A.
“I came up with a special Very Berry Summer Salad. It’s refreshing in a colorful way. Healthy too! The salad consists of blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, and raspberries with a mix of greens. I top it off with dried cranberries, pomegranate seeds, and roasted almonds. There are two kinds of dressing that go great with this salad. My personal favorite is raspberry vinaigrette, but you can also use pomegranate dressing. Sometimes I add grilled chicken. This salad is superfun and easy to make—and it tastes great!” —Nabiha R.
“I love the light, sweet flavor of the dressing on the Strawberry Poppyseed & Chicken Salad, so I made my own from scratch with poppyseeds, apple cider vinegar, sugar, and oil. I used it on a baby spinach salad with toasted walnuts and fresh strawberries. So yummy!” —Shanthy H.
“I use all the fruit, add in spinach, and it’s smoothie time!” —Niki KB
“I make a grain salad with strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, kiwi, slivered almonds, and quinoa finished with a raspberry vinaigrette.” —Jeannette W.
“I love to incorporate some of the ingredients from this salad into my fruit tart. Strawberries, pineapple, blueberries, and oranges are natural fits for fruit tart. Usually I make a graham cracker crust, but adding pecans gives it a great nutty flavor. And sprinkling some poppyseeds on top of the fresh fruit gives it a visual kick.” —Iris J.
