How much of my contribution goes to support hospital staff?

When you place an order for food gifts through Meals for Heroes, it’s a direct individual contribution to a healthcare facility, not a donation. Panera will waive all delivery fees related to these orders.

Does my contribution make a difference?

Every little bit helps, and the meals you buy go directly to feed healthcare workers and hospital staff. Your food gift helps show these workers on the front lines that their community cares about them and the work they’re doing to save lives.

Can I choose to donate meals to my local hospital?

When you participate in the Panera Meals for Heroes program, you can select a hospital from our list of hundreds of participating healthcare facilities. If you don’t see your preferred location, consider giving to another facility in your state, or keep checking back—we’re adding new facilities all the time!

My local hospital is not included on the list. Can I still contribute?

If you don’t see your local, preferred hospital on our list of participating facilities, there are a number of ways you can still make a difference. And don’t forget to keep checking back to our list of participating healthcare facilities. We’re adding new ones all the time!

• Choose another hospital in your state to contribute to, or send meals to another participating facility in an area that’s been highly impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.
• Donate to Together Without Hunger. For as little as $3, you can help provide meals to families in need.
• Send a meal directly to a friend or family member who is a frontline worker. You can order a meal for Contactless Delivery to their home, or pick it up with Panera Curbside.

Which menu items are included in the delivery?

Panera Meals for Heroes lunches include an assortment of our most popular sandwiches and salads, individually boxed with chips or baguette and a cookie.

What is Panera doing to make Catering deliveries safe for healthcare workers?

In addition to the enhanced cleaning and safety procedures we’re following in our cafes and through delivery, Meals for Heroes food gifts for participating hospitals are boxed lunches, individually packaged to protect each meal.

*Beginning May 11, 2020, Panera Meals for Heroes lunch bundles will be available for you to order and to designate delivery to a participating U.S. hospital or medical facility. Panera Meals for Heroes meals are only available for lunch orders at participating U.S. Panera Bread bakery cafes. Menu items subject to change without notice. Orders must be placed online with a credit card. If you have a MyPanera catering rewards account, eligible Panera Meals for Heroes meals orders will count towards future rewards. You can select the number of lunch bundles you would like have delivered to a participating hospital or medical facility. A minimum of one (1) meal must be purchased to be eligible for this program. Please note that due to existing orders on any given day, a change in hospital access, or other unforeseen circumstances, we may not be able to deliver to the facility you designate but will delivery to a facility in your same geographic area. You cannot select the date or time at which a delivery will be made. Delivery fees are waived for Panera Meals for Heroes orders. Panera Meals for Heroes meals are not available on third party delivery orders/sites. Other restrictions may apply.
