A mac for all seasons

Tomato Bacon Mac & Cheese

Some ingredients just seem made for each other—like bacon and our Mac & Cheese. This inspired combination makes a great main dish or a tasty side that’s pitch-perfect for any time of year.
 

25 Minutes, 4 Servings
 

Ingredients:

• 3 slices uncured Applewood-smoked bacon
• 16 oz. Panera® Mac & Cheese
• 1/2 cup stewed tomatoes, drained and cut into 1/2” pieces
• 1/4 cup panko bread crumbs
• 1/4 - 1/2 tsp. black pepper
 

Steps

1. Preheat oven to 475°F. Cook bacon in skillet, then chop.

2. In mixing bowl, combine Mac & Cheese, bacon and tomatoes.

3. Spread in 8” x 8” or 1 1/2 qt. baking dish. Top with bread crumbs and black pepper.

4. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until heated through and golden brown on top.
